- Position the final drive so that final drive filler plug (2) is level with the centerline of the wheel. Clean the area around the filler plug.
- Remove the filler plug. Fill the final drive with new oil. The oil level in the final drive should reach the bottom of the filler plug opening.
Reference: Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Lubricant Viscosities and Refill Capacities" for the correct type of lubricant and for the capacity of the final drives.
- Operate the machine for a few minutes and check the oil level. The oil level should reach the bottom of the filler plug opening.
If the oil level is higher than the filler plug opening, do not allow the oil to drain to the filler plug opening.
- Add oil, if necessary. Clean the filler plug and install the filler plug.
