  2. Use a hydraulic press in order to install spherical bearing (18) to pivot pin (10). Install the spherical bearing even with the outer face on pivot pin (10).

  3. Install lip seal (17) on pivot pin (10). Install the sealing lip of the seal toward spherical bearing (18). Install seal ring (16) on pivot pin (10) until the ring seats to lip seal (17).

  4. Repeat Steps 2 and 3 in order to install the spherical bearing, the lip seal and the seal ring to the other pivot pin.

  5. Install pivot pin (10), spherical bearing (18), seal ring (16) and lip seal (17) as a unit in frame (11). Install bolt (14), the washer and large washer (15) that secures pivot pin (10) in frame (11). Tighten bolt (14) to a torque of 240 ± 40 N·m (177 ± 30 lb ft). Install the other pivot pin in the same manner.

  6. Install the O-ring seal to hydraulic pipe (13). Position the pipe to the transmission. Install two bolts (12) and the washers that secure hydraulic pipe (13) to the transmission.

  7. Install two hollow dowels (4) in suspension arm (1).

  8. Position the front suspension arm and the hollow dowels to front drive axle (3) and to the pivot pin. Install four bolts (2) and the washers that secure the front suspension arm to front drive axle (3). Tighten bolts (2) to a torque of 900 ± 100 N·m (664 ± 74 lb ft). Install the other suspension arm in the same manner.

  9. Install end cap (6) to front suspension arm (1) and on pivot pin (10). Install two bolts (5) and the washers that secure end cap (6) to front suspension arm (1). Repeat this function on the other suspension arm.

  10. Install shims (8) and retainers (7) to both front suspension arms (1). Install shims (8) so there is no side load on the spherical bearings (10). The centerline of the front axle must not exceed 10 mm (.4 inch) in either direction. Install six bolts (9) and the washers that secure retainers (7) to front suspension arms (1). Tighten bolts (9) to a torque of 60 ± 12 N·m (44 ± 9 lb ft).

  11. Remove the nylon lifting straps from the front suspension arms.

  12. Fill the transmission with fluid to the proper level. See Operation and Maintenance Manual, SEBU7028 for the correct procedure.

End By:

  1. Install the Fenders. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Fender - Remove and Install". The information is in this manual.

  2. Install the front tires and rims. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, SENR9128, "Tire and Rim - Remove and Install" for the correct procedure.
