Removal Procedure

Start By:

1. Purge the air pressure from the air tanks. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Air Tanks (Brake) - Purge".

Personal injury can result from removing hoses or fittings in a pressure system. Failure to relieve pressure can cause personal injury. Do not remove or disconnect hoses or fittings until all pressure in the air system has been relieved.

1. Disconnect hose assembly (1) from check valve (2) that is located on the pipe tee.

2. Remove check valve (2) from the pipe tee.

Installation Procedure

1. Verify that all of the components of the check valve are clean and free of foreign material prior to installation.

2. Inspect all components for wear and replace the components, if necessary.

3. Install check valve (2) to the pipe tee.

4. Connect hose assembly (1) to check valve (2).
