General Information
制动器电子控制系统有三种可行配置。
- 集成式制动器电子控制（自动减速器控制和牵引力控制系统）
- 仅自动减速器控制（ARC）
- 仅牵引力控制系统（TCS）
每个机器配置都使用独立的 ECM。 每个 ECM 都有一个独立的零件号。 此外，每个 ECM 还需要安装一个独立的闪存软件，以指示 ECM 有关机器配置的信息。 每个 ECM 的闪存软件都有一个独立的零件号。
制动器 ECM 确定是否应接合行车制动器/减速器制动器以使自动减速器控制系统（ARC）发挥作用。 此操作通过向 ARC 系统的各个部件发送信号来完成。
制动器 ECM 确定是否应接合停车制动器和辅助制动器以使牵引力控制系统（TCS）发挥作用。 此操作通过向 TCS 的各个部件发送信号来完成。
制动器 ECM 还可为维修技师提供更好的故障诊断功能。 诊断功能通过使用板载内存来实现。 板载内存中存储了各种可能的诊断代码，可供维修时检索之用。 维修人员应使用电子技师（ET）维修工具进行故障诊断和排除。
以下模块可以通过卡特彼勒数据链路彼此通信： 发动机 ECM, 变速箱/底盘 ECM, 监控系统 和 制动器 ECM. 电子控制模块之间的通信使各系统传感器能够共享信息。
