Removal Procedure

Start By:

1. Remove the turbocharger. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Turbocharger - Remove".

1. Remove clamp (1) from the right side exhaust manifold.

2. Remove clamp (3) from turbocharger manifold (2).

3. Remove four bolts (4), the washers and the nuts that hold turbocharger manifold (2) to the support assembly.

4. Remove turbocharger manifold (2) from the engine.

Installation Procedure

1. Position turbocharger manifold (2) on the engine.

2. Install four bolts (4), and the nuts that hold turbocharger manifold (2) to the support assembly.

3. Install clamp (3) on turbocharger manifold (2), as shown. Tighten clamp (3) to a torque of 7.5 ± 1 N·m (66 ± 9 lb in).

4. Install clamp (1), as shown. Tighten clamp (1) to a torque of 7.5 ± 1 N·m (66 ± 9 lb in).

   Note: Clamps (1) and (3) will need to be tightened to a torque of 7.5 ± 1 N·m (66 ± 9 lb in) after the engine is tested.

End By:

1. Install the turbocharger. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Turbocharger - Install".
