Stopping the Engine if an Electrical Malfunction Occurs

Usage:

D250E II 4PS
Turn the engine start switch to the OFF position. If the engine does not stop, perform the following procedure.

  1. Dismount the machine and turn the battery disconnect switch to the OFF position. If the battery disconnect switch is turned to the OFF position and the engine fails to stop, engine shutdown must be performed manually.

    Governor control

    (1) Throttle control cable

    (2) Governor lever control linkage

    (3) Governor control lever

  1. Open the hood of the machine. Disconnect throttle control cable (1) from governor lever control linkage (2) .

  1. Turn governor control lever (3) in a clockwise direction to the SHUTOFF position. This will stop the fuel supply to the engine.

    Note: Engine shutdown should only be performed in this manner as a last resort.
