Machine Operation Information

Usage:

D250E II 4PS
To prevent injury, make sure that no people are on the machine or near the machine. To prevent injury, keep the machine under control at all times.

Move the hoist control to the FLOAT position. The transmission will not upshift if the hoist control is not in the FLOAT position.

Reduce engine speed when you maneuver in confined spaces or when you drive over a hill.

Select the appropriate travel speed before you drive the machine downhill. Do not shift the transmission control while you drive downhill.

When you drive the machine downhill, use the same gear that would be used to drive the machine uphill.

Do not allow the engine to overspeed when you drive the machine downhill. Use the retarder control and the service brake control to prevent engine overspeed when you are going downhill.

Operating The Machine

  1. Check for adequate clearance around the machine.

  1. Press the service brake control in order to prevent the machine from moving.

  1. Move the parking and secondary brake control to the DISENGAGED position.

  1. Press the transmission neutral lock switch and move the transmission control in order to select the desired speed and desired direction.

  1. Release the service brake control.

  1. Press the accelerator control so that the machine moves smoothly.
