Installation Procedure

- Attach Tooling (A) to the engine, as shown. Secure the engine to a suitable lifting device.

- Install the engine into the machine. Install rear engine mounting bolts (18) .

- Install the front engine mount bolt, the washer and nut (17) to each side of the engine.

- Remove the lifting device. Remove Tooling (A) from the engine.
- Install tie strap (16) to the flywheel housing.

- Unplug hoses (14) and (15). Install heater hose assemblies (14) and (15). Turn the valves on the water pump to the open position.

- Install air intake assembly (13) and tighten clamps. Install aftercooler (11) and (12) and tighten the clamps.
- Connect two cable assemblies (10) onto the negative terminal on the starter. Connect two cable assemblies (9) onto the positive terminal on the starter.

- Install the coolant level sensor connector (8) to the coolant level sensor on the radiator.

- Install governor control cable (6). Install the cotter and pin (4) and tighten nut (5) .

- Connect the air conditioning line (7) to the air conditioning dryer.
- Connect two air conditioning lines (3) to the air conditioning compressor.
- Charge the air conditioning system. Refer to the Air Conditioning and Heating Service Manual, SENR3334 and the Air Conditioning and Heating Service Manual, SENR5664for the proper charging procedure.

Personal injury can result from air conditioning system pressure. The air conditioning system will become a pressure system when charged. To avoid personal injury see the Air Conditioning and Heating Service Manual for instructions on charging the system. Personal injury or death can result from inhaling refrigerant through a lit cigarette. Inhaling air conditioner refrigerant gas through a lit cigarette or other smoking method or inhaling fumes released from a flame contacting air conditioner refrigerant gas, can cause bodily harm or death. Do not smoke when servicing air conditioners or wherever refrigerant gas may be present. |
- Install the drive shaft on yoke (1) and install four bolts (2) .

End By: Install the fuel tank.
