Removal Procedure

Start By:

1. Remove the evaporator coil. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Evaporator Coil - Remove and Install" for the correct procedure.

1. Identify the position of two electrical connections (1) on the thermostat. Disconnect the harness.

   Note: After the evaporator coil is removed, the sensing bulb of the thermostat has been removed.

2. On the opposite side of the cover, remove the setscrew, the knob, and the nut.

3. Remove thermostat (2) .

1. Install thermostat (2) .

2. On the opposite side of the cover, install the nut, the knob, and the setscrew.

   Note: When the nut is installed, tighten the nut to a torque of 3.4 ± .6 N·m (30.09 ± 5.31 lb in).

3. Install two electrical connections (1) in order to connect the harness.

End By: Install the evaporator coil. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Evaporator Coil - Remove and Install" for the correct procedure.
