SUBJECT: The Service Brake Pedal On Certain Motor Graders May Be Incorrectly Adjusted
PROBLEM:
Certain Motor Graders may have an inconsistent service brake pedal height due to variances in the factory assembly and adjustment process. As a result, the amount of pedal travel that is required to engage the brake piston can vary.
SOLUTION:
Make the necessary adjustments to improve the brake pedal travel performance and operator comfort. For the proper instructions on the adjustment of the brake pedal, refer to Systems Operation/Testing and Adjusting, RENR1417, "120H, 12H, 135H, 140H, 143H, 160H and 163H Motor Graders Air System and Brakes", "Service Brake Control (Pedal) ? Adjust".
