The Radiator Cowling May Cause Interference With A Mounting Bolt For The Fender Caterpillar

The Radiator Cowling May Cause Interference With A Mounting Bolt For The Fender

Usage:

OFF-HIGHWAY TRUCK797 (5YW1-221) OFF-HIGHWAY TRUCK

Problem:

Figure 1.

A bolt that is used on the fender support for fender (1) may come into contact with radiator cowling (2) causing a rattling sound.

Solution:

Figure 2.

Fender support (3) is located on the underside of fender (1). Refer to View A in Illustration 3 for the location of the mounting bolt.

Figure 3.

The clearance between bolt (4) and radiator cowling (2) should be checked when the machine is first assembled. If there is interference, then it should be fixed at that time.

A hole (X) that is large enough in diameter to allow bolt (4) of fender support (3) to pass through will need to be drilled or cut into radiator cowling (2).
