Contact The Factory When Replacing Components In The Radiator Cooling Fan System

Usage:

OFF-HIGHWAY TRUCK797 (5YW1-UP) OFF-HIGHWAY TRUCK

Problem:

The radiator cooling will need to be recalibrated when a major inline component of the cooling fan system is replaced.

Solution:

When replacing one of the following components, the cooling fan must be recalibrated:

* Pump motor
* Motor
* Fan drive
* Cooling fan
* Valve (Makeup)
* Engine ECM
* Brake ECM

It is necessary to have the 188-9574 Software or later flashed onto the brake ECM. Contact Caterpillar Product Support for the 797 Off-Highway Truck at (217)-475-5566 for instructions on how to recalibrate the cooling fan.
