Rear Window Latch May Not Engage

Usage:

AGRICULTURAL TRACTORSCHALLENGER 65E (6GS),

Problem:

There have been reports that the rear window latch cannot be fully engaged.

Solution:

Investigation continues; however, for customers who are struggling with closing the window, the plastic tube that ties the rear window seam can be removed. Use the following procedure and illustration in order to remove the tube.

1. Locate the seam at which point bulb seal (A) is joined. (The seam should be at or near the latch.)
2. Grasp one end of seal (A) and pull the seal away from the window frame until the separation in the joint is between 10 mm (.4 in) and 20 mm (.8 in).
3. With your free hand, grasp tube (B) located inside bulb seal (A) at the joint and pull away from the window frame in order to remove the tube.
4. Reassemble the ends of bulb seal (A). Secure the ends with Loctite 454.
