Hood Paint May Crack

Usage:

Problem:

There have been reports of cracks in the fiberglass hoods around the grill (1) and near the rubber latch (2).

Solution:

All reported cracks that were investigated have been in the paint only and have not affected the structural integrity of the hood. Manufacturing changes to prevent the paint cracking are being investigated. A permanent field fix is also being investigated. In the interim, the paint cracks can be repaired using normal fiberglass repair techniques.
