Usage:
AP-1055 (8BM) BG-2455C (6TN) ASPHALT PAVERS
THIS TIB REPLACES THE OCTOBER 29, 1997 TIB. COMPONENT: 0770 "BRAKE GAUGE MAY FAIL". DESTROY THE OCTOBER 29, 1997 TIB. IT WILL NOT APPEAR IN THE QUARTERLY INDEX.
Problem:
The above pressure gauge may fail due to the pressure reducing valve not being set properly.
Solution:
The pressure reducing valve needs to be adjusted to protect the gauge.
- 1. Install a 8T-0858 gauge (0-2300) psi gauge into the gauge port of the throttle, brake and travel manifold located on the side of the hydraulic tank.
- 2. Use the instructions in the Auxiliary Testing and Adjusting Manuals, KENR2899 for the BG-2455C, KENR2886 for the AP-1055B, and adjust the pressure reducing valve to 3450 kpa (500 psi).
