Problem:
The 8T-6762 Pipe Plugs in the 9Y-8914 Air Lines Group were not correctly tightened at the factory. These pipe plugs may loosen during operation of the engine and fall out. Missing or loose pipe plugs will result in boost leaks.
Solution:
The Illustration shows the locations of the eight 8T-6762 Pipe Plugs in the 9Y-8914 Air Lines Group. The correct torque for tightening these pipe plugs is 45 N·m (33 lb ft). Check each of the eight 8T-6762 Pipe Plugs to be sure they are correctly tightened. If plugs are missing from these locations, install new 8T-6762 Pipe Plugs and tighten to the correct torque.
