Usage:
Low cost heater groups are available for the above motor graders, which are equipped with improved cabs. The new heater groups are for use in moderate climates and have about one-half the Btu output of the heavy duty heater; these heaters do not have defrosters.
1 Remove the seat assembly, trim (1), support (2) and pad (3).
2 Cut 6G2641 Pad (3) to the dimensions shown, so there is clearance for the holes in the new support.
3 Install 9D3180 Heater Group (4) in 5T1925 Support Assembly (5) with six 2B2695 Bolts (6) and 5P4116 Washers.
4 120G, 140G, 130G and 12G: Cut 6V5651 Hose (7) in three lengths, two lengths 2800 (110)" and one 80 (3").
14G: Cut 6V5651 Hose (7) in three lengths, two lengths 3050 (120") and one 80 (3").
16G: Cut 6V5651 Hose (7) in three lengths, two lengths 2150 (85") and one 80 (3").
5 Put 6G2641 Pad (3) in place and install two 3D6209 Grommets (8); push the end of 6V5651 Hose (7) through the grommet and connect it to heater (4) with 5D1026 Clamp (9).
6 Put the 80 (3") length of hose on the valve and fasten with 5D1026 Clamp (10); install 1P3956 Tube (11) to the hose and fasten with a 5D1026 Clamp. Move the heater and support in position on the platform and put tube (11) through the grommet.
7 Fasten the support and heater assembly to the platform with the bolts and washers that were formerly removed. Install 5T1929 Harness Assembly (12); connect terminal (13) to heater wire (14), ground terminal (15) to the support with 2H3755 Bolt, 5P4116 Washer and 7H3937 Lockwasher. Install housing (16) to existing wiring harness (17).
8 Lower the coolant level below plugs (18) and (19); remove the plugs.
120G, 130G, 140G, 12G, 14G
9 Install 6B4661 Bushing (20) and put 7D7026 Connector (21) in 9M5501 Elbow (22); install the assembly in bushing (20). Install 5B4855 Bushing (23) in bonnet (24) and put 3B7284 Nipple (25) and 7D2026 Connector (26) in 5B8279 Elbow (27); install the assembly in bushing (23).
16G
9 Remove plugs (28) and two plugs from panel (29). Install two 6B4661 Bushings (30) and two 8F8151 Cocks (31). Install two 3K9520 Grommets (32) in panel (29).
120G, 130G, 140G, 12G, 14G
10 Connect the loose end of hose (7) to connector (22) with 5D1026 Clamp (33). Push the other length of 6V5651 Hose (34) through the grommet and connect it to tube (11) with 5D1026 Clamp (35) and fasten the other end to connector (26) with 5D1026 Clamp (36). Fasten the hoses to block (37) with 6D1641 Clip (38) and the bolt. Fasten hose (7) to the engine with 4S1962 Clip and existing bolt.
16G
10 Connect the loose end of hose (7) to cock (31) with 5D1026 Clamp (39). Push the length of 6V5651 Hose (40) through the grommet and connect it to tube (11) with 5D1026 Clamp (41); connect the other end to cock (31) with 5D1026 Clamp (42). Fasten 9D4026 Plate (43) to guard (44) with S509 Bolt and 5M2894 Washer. Fasten the hoses to plate (43) and the frame with two 6D1641 Clips (45), two S509 Bolts (46), two 5M2894 Washers and one 1D4717 Nut (47).
11 On all motor graders, install 8M456 Fuse (48) in fuse panel (49). Install the seat and fill the radiator.
