Usage:
These antispin control groups help to increase traction at the drive wheels. If either drive wheel starts to spin (lose traction), the operator can increase power to the drive wheel that has better traction with a manual application of the brake on the wheel that has the loss of traction. Installation of these control groups is the same outside the cab but inside the cab there are several differences. Use this instruction along with the Service Manual and Parts Book for the correct installation procedure.

NOTE: See the Operation and Maintenance Guide, Form SEBU5825 "Supplement 768C, 769C, 772B, 773B, 776 and 777 Off Highway Trucks" for the operation of the antispin control groups. Use pipe thread sealant on all pipe thread connections.
6G8830 And 5T1360 Antispin Control Groups (Outside The Cab)
(1) Release the pressure from the air tanks. Disconnect and remove hose (1), the elbow, connector and block (2). These parts will not be needed again. Disconnect hose (3).
(2) Install 307963 Elbow (4) and again connect hose (3). Install 6G7709 Valve Group (5) on 6G7382 Plate (6) with four S1571 Bolts, four 5M2894 Washers and two 1D4717 Nuts. Remove the two top bolts from the differential housing and install plate (6) with two 1D5874 Spacers (7) and two 3B2968 Bolts. Install two 8M505 Connectors (8) and (9) and two 2P7636 Connectors (10) and (11) with 3K360 Seals in valve (5). Install 5P4900 Elbows (12) and (13) on the tubes where block (2), above, was removed. Connect 6S4236 Hose Assembly (14) to elbow (12) and connector (10). Connect 6S4236 Hose Assembly (15) to elbow (13) and connector (8). Use two 4B9302 Clips to hold the former tubes at locations (A).
(3) Connect 4V8213 Hose Assembly (16) to former elbow (17) and to the lower connector in valve (5). Connect 6S4962 Hose Assembly (18) to connector (9). Put hose (18) in position and install 6D4636 Clip (19). Install 307948 Elbows (20) and (21) with 3K360 Seals in 6G7665 Valve (22). Connect hose (18) to elbow (20). Connect 6S4705 Hose Assembly (23) to elbow (21) and install 6D4636 Clip (24).
(4) Disconnect hose (25), remove elbow (26) and install 307959 Tee (27) in brake cylinder group (28). Connect former hose (25) and 6V2481 Union (29) to tee (27). Install 8M547 Elbow (30) on hose (23), above, and connect elbow (30) to tee (27).
(1) Install 4S7606 Elbows (31) and (32) in valve (5). Connect 6D8079 Hose Assemblies (33) and (34) to elbows (31) and (32), respectively. Put hoses (33) and (34) in position along the left frame rail and fasten the hoses with four 5K8451 Clips (35). Install two 5H4778 Elbows (36) and (37) in the number "7" and number "9" holes, respectively, in the cab. Connect hose (33) to elbow (36) and connect hose (34) to elbow (37).
6G8830 Control Group (Inside The Cab)
(1) Disconnect and remove hose (1) from the brake control valve and the retarder control valve. Install three 9M8662 Couplings (2), (3) and (4) as shown. If the three holes in plate (5) are not present, use a 20.0Ø (.78"Ø) drill bit to make three holes (A) at approximately the location shown.
(2) Install 3S6115 Tee (6) in coupling (4). Connect 6D9853 Hose Assembly (7) to tee (6) and to the brake control valve where the former hose was removed. Connect 4S7572 Hose Assembly (8) to tee (6) and to the retarder control valve where the former hose was removed. Install 3D7587 Elbow (9) and 5H4778 Elbow (10) in couplings (2) and (3), respectively. Connect 7D3024 Hose Assembly (11) to the coupling in hole "7" (right rear of the cab) and connect 7D3024 Hose Assembly (12) to the coupling in hole "9". Connect hoses (11) and (12) to elbows (9) and (10) as shown.
(3) Install 3D7587 Elbow (13) in the "SUPPLY" opening in 2D6173 Valve (14). Install 3D7587 Elbows (15) and (16) in valve (14). Fasten 6G5 Plate (17) to the steering column with two S509 Bolts and 5M2894 Washers. Fasten valve (14) to plate (17) with two S1617 Bolts and 9M1974 Washers. Install 5H4778 Elbows (18) and (19) in couplings (2) and (3), respectively. Connect 7D4998 Hose Assembly (20) to coupling (4) and to elbow (13). Connect 7D4998 Hose Assembly (21) to elbows (19) and (15). Connect 4S7560 Hose Assembly (22) to elbows (18) and (16). Fasten hoses (20), (21) and (22) to an existing bolt with 6D2834 Clip (23). Install 6G7708 Film (24) on valve (14) as shown.
5T1360 Control Group (Inside The Cab)
(1) Use a 7.5Ø (.30"Ø) drill bit to make two holes (A) through the shift console at the location shown. Use a 20.5Ø (.81"Ø) drill bit to make three holes (B) at the approximate location shown. Use existing holes (C) as a guide to help find the location for the new holes.
(2) Fasten 5T1341 Bracket (1) to transmission control (2) with two 4F7957 Bolts, 5P537 Washers and 1B4330 Nuts. Install three 3B6552 Elbows (3), (4) and (5), with a 4D2560 Connector in each, in the three openings in 5T1300 Valve (6). Install valve (6) on bracket (1) with two 7H3986 Screws. Install three 9M7357 Coupling Assemblies (7), (8) and (9) with a 4J3430 Stop (10) and 4B4283 Washer (11) in each in holes (B). Install 4H6147 Connectors (12), (13) and (14) in couplings (7), (8) and (9), respectively. Make the connections that follow: 4S7529 Hose Assembly (15) to connector (12) and to the connector in elbow (5); 4S7529 Hose Assembly (16) to connector (13) and to the connector in elbow (4); 6D4045 Hose Assembly (17) to connector (14) and to the connector in elbow (3). Fasten hoses (15) and (16) to an existing bolt with 5K8451 Clip (18). Install 5T1339 Film (19) on bracket (1). Install two 3D7587 Elbows (20) and (21) in the couplings in holes "7" and "9", respectively. These couplings were installed in step 5, page 4. Connect 6D4045 Hose Assembly (22) to elbow (20) and coupling (8); connect 6D4045 Hose Assembly (23) to elbow (21) and to coupling (7). Remove the plug from the air tank and install 3D8884 Elbow (24) and a 4H6147 Connector where the plug was removed. Connect 4S7528 Hose Assembly (25) to coupling (9) and to the connector in elbow (24).
