Improved side gear and pinion gears within the differential assemblies are available for the above machines. The improved side gears are more durable, which will extend their service life. The 151-3164 Side Gear (2) replaced the former 097-5192 Side Gear. The 152-6601 Pinion (1) replaced the former 097-5193 Pinion.

Do not mix the improved side gears or pinions with the former side gears and pinions. If the former side gears or pinions are present, replace all side gears and pinions with the improved or damage could occur to the machine. If the improved side gears are already present, then the worn gears will only need replaced.

All Material Handlers have the former side gears and pinions. Chart 1 lists the axles and differentials part numbers effected by this change.
The improved side gears and pinions became effective in production of Telehandlers. The effectivity of this change is described using the Model, the effective Product Identification Number, and the effective Axle Serial Number in Chart 2.
