A stabilizer warning system can be installed on C-series Backhoe Loaders equipped with the Power Shift transmission. This stabilizer warning system is installed as standard equipment on Center Pivot Backhoe Loaders or as an option on Side Shift Backhoe Loaders.
The stabilizer warning system was installed to alert the operator not to lower the machine in cases where the operator inadvertantly moved the transmission shift lever into gear.
This warning system sounds, alerting the operator, when the transmission direction control lever is positioned in forward or reverse and one or both stabilizer control levers are moved to the stablizer up position as the machine is being lowered to the ground.
