Reference: Service Magazine; June 6, 1997; Page 4, "Belt Tensioner Accumulator Changes Summarized".

Description of Change: A charging seal is available in order to allow use of the charging group for accumulator charging on machines that are equipped with an accumulator assembly. The nut on the charging group may bottom out before the sealing face is engaged. The use of the charging seal allows correct sealing to occur.

Adaptable To: The 151-8856 Charging Seal is required when using the 9U-6740 Charging Group on the 130-7623 Accumulator Assembly. The 130-7623 Accumulator Assembly, which requires the 151-8856 Charging Seal, is effective with Challenger 35 (8DN620), Challenger 45 (1DR140), and Challenger 55 (7DM658) Agricultural Tractors. There may be some 130-7623 Accumulator Assemblies on earlier machines. See the referenced article above for more information and visual identification.
