Rotated Extension Stick Cylinder Protects Cylinder Port {5057}

Usage:

446B (5BL) Backhoe Loader

Description of Change: The 446B Backhoe Loader has an improved 123-9707 Extendable Stick Cylinder. This new cylinder is shorter than the former cylinder and has been rotated 180 degrees. This change increases the protection of the inlet - outlet port on the piston end of the cylinder and eliminates bolt head interference.

The following groups are affected:

* 9R-1358 - Lines Group - Extension Stick
* 9R-2583 - Lines Group - Extension Cylinder

Adaptable To: The improvement is effective with 446B (5BL917) Backhoe Loaders. Earlier machines can be retrofitted using the new parts shown in the following charts A, B, and C. The 123-9707 Extendable Stick Cylinder has replaced the former 6E-5383 Cylinder.
