Reference: Service Manual Module, SENR8210; Disassembly & Assembly, D25D, D30D, D350D Articulated Trucks; Page 95; "Suspension Cylinders". This manual is part of Service Manual HENR8198 for D25D, D30D, D350D Articulated Trucks.

An improvement to the 6U-4480 and the 7U-9508 Cylinders including new end caps and seals is available through parts service for the listed machines. The new sealing package requires the modifications listed below.

------ WARNING! ------

The suspension system may drop the machine suddenly, leaving no clearance between the axle housing, main frame, tires, and mud guards. Working in these areas can result in personal injury or death by crushing. Stay clear until the engine is stopped and the suspension is lowered to the service position.

-------WARNING!-------

Use the appropriate service manual to remove the cylinders.

Remove the head from the cylinder. Machine the cylinder tube to the dimensions shown in Illustrations 1 and 2. A total of 2.5 mm (.10 in) needs to be machined from the end of the tube.
