Description of Change: A new transmission chassis and cab wiring harnesses are now available for some off-highway trucks equipped with EPTC-II transmission control. The new harnesses have separate grounds to the new speed/gear position sensors and gear change solenoids. (See service magazine article referenced above).
Adaptable To: Effective harness numbers can be found below with effective truck model serial numbers for the new chassis and cab harnesses described above. The new harnesses are adaptable to all previous serial number trucks equipped with EPTC-II transmission control and the new 118-8471 Actual Gear Switch and 120-9288 Harness.
The harnesses listed below do not require use of 127-4872 Retrofit Adapter Harness to complete the retrofit of all earlier 784B Tractor; 785B, 789B, 793B Off-Highway Trucks with 118-8471 Actual Gear Switch and 120-9288 Harness as described in the service magazine article referenced above.
