If the display locks up when trying to start Information System Builder with Windows 3.1 or Windows 3.11, verify that Win32s is properly installed. To test for proper WIN32s installation, run the test game, Freecell. The game is supplied with the Win32s install kit.

If the Freecell display locks up, the wrong display driver might be installed.

Display Driver Install Procedure

1. Restart Windows.

2. Go to Program Manager.

3. Select the Main group.

4. Select Windows Setup.

5. Read the Display option listed.

6. WIN32s will not operate with S3 2.1 display drivers. Select and install a S3 1.51 display driver if a S3 2.1 driver is listed as the current driver.
