Description of Change: New seals and bearings are now being used in the output transfer gear groups. The new seals and bearings will reduce seal leakage in the output transfer gear groups.

Adaptable To: The new seals, bearings and related parts, shown in the chart, are in effect with D250E (5TN788), D300E (7FN431), D350E (9LR235), D400E (2YR339), D25D (1HK668), D30D (3AJ415) Articulated Trucks.

The new parts, when used together, are a direct replacement for the former parts in D20D (9MG1-Up), D25D (1HK1-667), D30D (3AJ1-414, 1PK1-Up), D250D (6NG1-Up), D300D (5MG1-Up), D350D (9RF1-Up), D40D (2JJ1-Up), D400D (8TF1-Up, 4EJ1-Up), D250E (5TN1-787), D300E (7FN1-430), D350E (9LR1-234), and D400E (2YR1-338) Articulated Trucks.

When installing the new seal, lubricate the seal lip with the lubricant being sealed. Do not use grease to lubricate the seal lip. Also, before the seal is installed, apply a thin coat of 4C-4032 Compound to the outside metal case of the seal.

NOTE: Make sure the seal face is square in the bore and free from damage in the area where the 132-3071 Seal contacts the 132-3072 Seal.
