Description of Change: Hardened spacers are now used when shimming the vertical pins that connect the steer pivot housing and the main frame. These spacers are used as required to adjust the total movement between the steer pivot housing and the main frame.

Adaptable To: The new 117-7777 and 117-7778 Spacers are replacements for the former 7X-8190 Bushings (canceled), 7X-8189 Bushings (canceled), 077-2812 Bushings, and 077-2828 Spacers. The 117-7777 Spacer is 1.9 mm (.07 in) thick and the 117-7778 Spacer is 1.2 mm (.05 in) thick. Use up to a quantity of four of each spacer to obtain the correct clearance. The shimming procedure for the steer pivot remains the same.

This change is effective with CP-323 (6JD452), CS-323 (1TM61), CS-431B (1XF119), CP-433B (1MG693), and CS-433B (4FK239) Vibratory Compactors. The new spacers are adaptable to all earlier machines.
