NOTE: The information supplied in this service letter may not be valid after the termination date of this program. Do not perform the work outlined in this Service Letter after the termination date without first contacting your Caterpillar product analyst.
NOTE: This Program can only be administered after a failure occurs. The decision whether to apply the Program is made by the dealer. When reporting the repair, use "PS5274" as the Part Number and "7755" as the Group Number. Use "96" as the Warranty Claim Description Code and use "Z" as the SIMS Description Code.
NOTE: This program does not apply if Power Train Oil meeting Caterpillar TO4 specification has not been used 100% of the time.

Some wheel stations on certain 785, 785B, 789, 789B, 793, 793B, and 793C Trucks can leak if fitted with a 9W7206 Seal Group having the date code of 10-02-96 through 12-03-96 marked on the inside of the seal ring.

Parts Needed
- 1 - 9W7206 Seal Group (per wheel group)
Action Required
If a wheel station is found with external leakage and upon repair, removal, and inspection of the 9W7206 Seal Group, the date code marked on the seal ring falls within the time frame of 10-02-96 through 12-03-96, this service letter can be applied.

Parts Disposition
All seals replaced under this Service Letter must be returned for full credit or accounts will be debited. Return all removed 9W7206 Seal Groups and a copy of the claim to:
