NOTE: The information supplied in this service letter may not be valid after the termination date of this program. Do not perform the work outlined in this Service Letter after the termination date without first contacting your Caterpillar product analyst.
NOTE: This Program must be administered as soon as possible. When reporting the repair, use "PI3751" as the Part Number, "7751" as the Group Number, "56" as the Warranty Claim Description Code and "T" as the SIMS Description Code. Exception: If the repair is done after failure, use "PI3751" as the Part Number, "7751" as the Group Number, "96" as the Warranty Claim Description Code, and "Z" as the SIMS Description Code.
NOTE: This Revised Service Letter replaces the March 6, 1995 Service Letter. The 500 smu limitation no longer applies. Changes have been made to the Problem, Action Required, and Service Claim Allowances.

The 9R7011 Tower Loader Pin used to fasten the loader arm to the tower frame may fail on certain 416B, 426B and 436B Backhoe Loaders and need to be replaced. Pin failure could in machine damage.

Parts Stock
Remove all 9R7011 Pins from Parts Stock that have date codes of 4723NA, 4721NA, 4740NA, 4766NA, 4797NA, or 4802NA where the "N" represents any number and the "A" represents any alphabetic letter.
Affected Product
Replace 9R7011 Tower Loader Pin on any unit listed in the Affected Product.
Owner Notification
U.S. and Canadian owners will receive the attached Owner Notification.
Service Claim Allowances
Parts Stock
Submit one claim for all 9R7011 Pins removed from Parts Stock.
