Many hydraulic cylinders use a threaded crown at the rod end instead of the bolt-on head or the threaded gland design. See illustration. A single tightening torque has now been established for the threaded crown on all sizes of hydraulic cylinders.

The standard torque is 600 ± 130 N·m (440 ± 95 lb ft). Write this new torque in all the Specification Modules for these products.
