Quick Disconnect Coupling On Optional Modification Of 5P4150 Nozzle Tester Permits Faster Exchange Of Adapters{0651,1254}

Usage:

A quick-disconnect coupling can be installed on the 5P4150 Nozzle Tester to permit more rapid exchange of nozzle adapters. If you make this modification to your nozzle tester, the 5P4721 Tube must be made shorter.

NOTICE

The length of tube removed for the capsule-like nozzle adapter must be exactly 66 mm (2.6").

The volume of test fluid in the new parts is the same as in the length of tube removed. The basis of the "Pressure Loss Test" is the volume of fluid in the original system. The length of the tubes for the other adapters is not important.

To install the quick disconnect coupler, follow these instructions and use only the parts given here:

1. For each nozzle adapter, remove 66 mm (2.6") from the short end of a 5P4721 Tube.

2. Remove the burrs from the cut ends and thoroughly clean the tubes.

3. Install a 5P4719 Fitting Assembly and a 5P9715 Nipple on the cut end of each tube. See Special Instructions, Form SEHS7292 "Use of 5P4150 Nozzle Testing Group and 8S2245 Nozzle Cleanup Kit" for correct assembly instructions.

4. Install the adapters on the other end of each tube. Use 3J1905 Sleeves and 3J1906 Nuts (parts of 5P4719 Fittings and 5P4720 Elbows). Use Special Instructions Form SEHS7292 for correct assembly instructions.

5. Remove the original tube assembly and 5P4719 Fitting from the tester.

6. Install a 5P9701 Coupler Assembly.
