Usage:
776 ( 14H ) Tractors and 777 ( 84A ) Trucks
Description of Change: An improved wire assembly in the lighting and wiring groups is now used on 776 Tractors and 777 Trucks. The improved wire assembly, which connects to the glow plugs, has cross-link polyethylene insulation. Clips are also used to hold the wire away from the fuel injection lines for a longer service life. Formerly, it was possible for the insulation on the wire to wear against a fuel line and cause an electrical short. This can burn a hole through a fuel line.
Adaptable To: The improved 9D6972 Wire Assembly can be installed on all earlier 776 Tractors and 777 Trucks. Two 4D7794 Clips are needed to hold the wire in the correct position. The part number of the 9D6972 Wire Assembly did not change.
