The new Undercarriage Reconditioning Bulletin, "Guideline For Reusable Track Parts," MP-10, Form SEBF8558 is available. This publication will aid the track press operator and field serviceman in making good reuse decisions based on visual inspections of track group components. When track parts are used again, the cost per hour to operate Sealed and Lubricated Track is decreased.
Before a track group component can be correctly inspected, it must be thoroughly cleaned. Links should be inspected for cracks before disassembly; other components must be disassembled for correct inspection.
