The Part Number Responsible field on Caterpillar Service Reports does not have enough spaces to enter the complete CMI or RayGo part numbers.
If a Caterpillar part number is not available use the Substitute Part Number from the pamphlet, "Caterpillar Product Service Reporting Codes For SIMS and Warranty Use", Form 01-036517-05, in the Part Number Responsible field. Enter the complete RayGo or CMI part number in the first spaces of the Optional Comments field followed by a brief comment. This will help in identifying failed parts.
