Usage:
NOTE: Check the condition of all parts. If any components are worn or damaged, use new parts for replacement.
1. Put 5P-3931 Anti-Seize Compound on the outer surface of the towing brake release cylinder. Install towing brake release cylinder (1) in the rear frame, as shown. The weight of the towing brake release cylinder is 20 kg (44 lb).
2. Apply 4C-9507 Compound to the threads of bolts (2) prior to assembly. Install four bolts (2) and the washers that hold towing brake release cylinder (1) to the rear frame. Tighten bolts (2) to a torque of 215 ± 40 N·m (160 ± 30 lb ft).
3. Connect hose assemblies (3) and (4) to towing brake release cylinder (1).
4. Fill the hydraulic tank with oil to the correct level. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual for the machine that is being serviced.
5. Purge the air from the towing brake release system. Refer to Systems Operation, Testing and Adjusting, Braking System, "Brake System Air - Purge" for the machine that is being serviced.
