Usage:
NOTE: Cleanliness is an important factor. Before assembly, all parts should be thoroughly cleaned in cleaning fluid. Allow the parts to air dry. Wiping cloths or rags should not be used to dry parts. Lint may be deposited on the parts which may cause later trouble. Inspect all parts. If any parts are worn or damaged, use new parts for replacement.
NOTE: Check the condition of all seals and of all parts. If any components are worn or damaged, use new parts for replacement.
NOTE: Lubricate all parts with clean hydraulic oil during assembly.
1. Install wear ring (8), U-type seal (9) and lip seal (10) in barrel (6).
2. Install seal assembly (5) and wear ring (7) on piston (11).
3. Install piston (11) in barrel (6).
4. Install spring (3) in the towing brake release cylinder.
5. Put 5P-0960 Molybdenum Grease on O-ring seal (4) and install on cap (2). Position cap (2) on barrel (6).
6. Apply 155-0695 Thread Lock Compound to the threads of bolts (1) prior to assembly. Install six bolts (1) and tighten evenly to compress spring (3). Tighten bolts (1) to a final torque of 47 ± 9 N·m (35 ± 7 lb ft).
