DEF Tank Not Filling
Use this procedure to troubleshoot a problem filling the Diesel Exhaust Fluid (DEF) tank through the fill port on top of the tank.

1. Inspect the DEF Tank Vent Line |

Result: The vent line is not plugged. Proceed to Test Step 2. Result: The vent line is plugged. Repair: Clean or replace the plugged vent line. If the problem is not resolved, proceed to Test Step 2. |
2. Inspect the DEF Tank Vent Line Breather |
Breather |
Result: The vent line breather is plugged. Repair: Clean or replace the plugged vent line breather. Verify that the repair eliminated the problem. |
