New Software Flash Does Not Contain B-Rating Option on Certain 3500 Marine Engines {1920} Caterpillar

When flashing the new multi-rating software files, the engine will default to a C- rating regardless of the purchased B, C, or D rating on the engine order.

The following changes are adaptable to the products within the listed serial numbers, and are effective with all products after the listed serial numbers.

Procedure

Once the new file is flashed, you will need to perform the following procedure:

1. Select rating 1.

2. Set the rated fuel position to match the TMI FL static fuel setting found under the engine test tab.

   Example: Serial Number S/N:TTG00271. The test spec should be set to 25.9(metric) as referenced in Illustration 1.
