Diagnostic Codes

Use the Caterpillar Electronic Technician (Cat ET) or the display of the Cat Object Detection System (Cat Detect) in order to determine the diagnostic codes for the Cat Detect System. After determining the diagnostic codes, refer to the corresponding test procedure for more information. Perform the procedure that corresponds to the diagnostic code (CID and FMI).

The following table is a list of possible diagnostic codes for the Cat Detect.

Note: Table 1 shows the diagnostic codes for the Cat Object Detection System only. The module identifier (MID) indicates to the service personnel that the ECM is sending the diagnostic code. The MID for the display of the Cat Object Detection System is MID 134. The Electrical System Schematic shows the module identifier (MID) codes of any other electronic controls on a machine. Information for electronic troubleshooting of the diagnostic codes other than MID 134 can be found in the service manual for that system.
