Power from the engine is transferred from the flywheel to the torque converter. Power is then transferred from the torque converter to the transmission input shaft.
The torque converter is configured with a lockup clutch. The lockup clutch will provide a direct drive capability between the engine and transmission input shaft.
Six hydraulically activated clutches in the transmission provide four forward speeds and four reverse speeds. Direction and speed selections are made by the powertrain ECM in response to the operator inputs.
Power from the transmission is transferred to the output transfer gear case. Power is sent through the input gear to the output gear.
