Information has been added for the inspection, and machining of seat (2) of ball check valve (1) on all Off-Highway Trucks. The ball check valve is an internal cushion for the front suspension group. The condition of the haul roads, overloading, and under charged suspension groups can cause the check ball to contact the seat. Damage to the seat will allow hydraulic oil to leak past the check ball.

Inspection instructions, and machining instructions are now available in the document under the new heading "General Requirement for the Cylinder". For the new information, refer to the above listed reuse and salvage guidelines. The reuse and salvage guidelines can be found on the Caterpillar Service Information System (SIS). The reuse and salvage guidelines is also available through the normal literature distribution system at your local Cat© dealer.
