New Specifications For Pressure Drop Across The Air-To-Air Aftercooler{1063}
Usage:
3406C (3ZJ, 5KJ, 4CK, 8PN) Rated At 425 Horsepower, 3406E (5EK) Truck Engines Rated At 500 Horsepower
In 1995, the specification for the maximum allowable pressure drop across the engine inlet air side of the air-to-air aftercooler (on the above engines ONLY) has been changed from 13.5 kPa (4.0 in Hg) to 15.2 kPa (4.5 in Hg). In 1996, the 3406E (5EK) Truck Engines rated at 475 and 550 horsepower were added. The specification for all other 3406C and 3406E Truck Engines remains at 13.5 kPa (4.0 in Hg). Make note of this information in the appropriate Service Manual Module.
