  1. Lower the temperature of roller bearings (77). Install roller bearings (77) into final drive housing (48).

  2. Use Tooling (F) to install Duo-Cone seal (76B) onto final drive housing (48). Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Duo Cone Seal - Install" for further information.

  3. Use Tooling (F) to install Duo-Cone seal (76A) onto motor housing (25). Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Duo Cone Seal - Install" for further information.

  4. Use Tooling (A) to install lip seal (75) into motor housing (25).

  5. Use Tooling (E) and a suitable press to install bearing (74) onto shaft assembly (73).

  6. Use a soft faced hammer to install shaft assembly (73) into motor housing (25).

  7. Use Tooling (D) and a suitable lifting device to install motor housing (25) into final drive housing (48).

    Note: Lubricate Duo-cone seal faces with SAE 30 Wt TDTO oil before installation. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Duo Cone Seal - Install" for further information.

  8. Use Tooling (B) and a suitable press to compress final drive housing (48).

  9. Place the motor housing and the final drive housing on suitable cribbing in order to prevent damage to the shaft.

  10. Use Tooling (C) to install retaining ring (72).

  11. Install plate (71), washers (70), and bearing guides (69).

  14. Install plate (65), retaining rings (63), and thrust washer (64).

  15. Install shaft (62) and retaining ring (58) onto carrier (61).

  16. Install carrier (61), washers (60), and bearing guides (59) into the final drive housing.

  19. Install gear (53) and O-ring seal (52 ) into final drive housing (48).

  20. Apply Tooling (G) to shaft wear ring (51) in order to hold shaft wear ring into cover (49).

  21. Install cover (49).

  22. Install ring (50) by feeding into the plug location in cover (49). Rotate until the break in ring (50) is centrally located between the plug locations in cover (50).

  24. Install control piston (46) and balls (45) into motor housing (25).

  26. Install washer (41), spring (42), and washer (43) into barrel assembly (38).

  27. Use Tooling (A) and a suitable press to compress spring (42) and install retaining ring (40) into barrel assembly (38).

  28. Install pins (39) into barrel assembly (38).

  29. Install spherical bearing (37), plate (36), and pistons (35) into barrel assembly (38).

  30. Install rotating group (34) into motor housing (25).

  31. Install spacer (33), plates (31), and friction discs (32) into motor housing (25).

  32. Install O-ring seal (30) and backup rings (29) onto piston (28).

  34. Install O-ring seal (27) and O-ring seals (26) onto motor housing (25).

  35. Install bearing (24) into motor cover (1).

  36. Use Tooling (G) to hold springs (22) and port plate (23) in place for assembly.

  37. Install motor cover (1) and bolts (20) onto motor housing (21).

  38. Install spool (15), spool (16), spring (17), and spool (18) into motor cover (1).

  39. Install spool (14) into motor cover (1).

  40. Install O-ring seals (13) onto plugs (11).

  41. Install plugs (11), plugs (12), and the O-ring seals into motor cover (1).

  42. Install spool (10), washers (9), springs (8), O-ring seals (7), and plugs (6) into motor cover (1).

  43. Install O-ring seal (3), O-ring seal (4), and backup rings (5) onto relief valves (2).

  44. Install relief valves (2) into motor cover (1).
