Start By:

  1. Remove final drive and travel motor assembly.

  1. Remove relief valves (2) from motor cover (1).

  2. Remove backup rings (5), O-ring seal (4), and O-ring seal (3) from relief valves (2).

  3. Remove plugs (6), O-ring seals (7), springs (8), washers (9), and spool (10) from motor cover (1).

    Note: Note the order and orientation of the spools and spring for installation purposes.

  4. Remove plugs (11), plugs (12), and the O-ring seals from motor cover (1).

  5. Remove O-ring seals (13) from plugs (11).

  6. Remove spool (14) from motor cover (1).

  7. Remove spool (15), spool (16), spring (17), and spool (18) from motor cover (1).

  8. Remove plugs (19) and the O-ring seals from motor cover (1).

  9. Remove bolts (20) and motor cover (1) from motor housing (21).

  10. Remove springs (22), port plate (23), and bearing (24) from motor cover (1).

  11. Remove O-ring seals (26) and O-ring seal (27) from motor housing (25).

  12. Install suitable straps in order to prevent piston (28) from flying out of the motor housing.

  13. Use a suitable air supply at Port (X) to force piston (28) out of motor housing (25). Remove suitable straps and remove piston (28).

  14. Remove backup rings (29) and O-ring seals (30) from piston (28).

  15. Remove plates (31), friction discs (32), and spacer (33) from motor housing (25).

  16. Place motor housing (25) and the final drive housing on side to remove rotating group (34).

  17. Remove pistons (35), plate (36), and spherical bearing (37) from barrel assembly (38).

  18. Remove pins (39) from barrel assembly (38).

  19. Use Tooling (A) and a suitable press to remove retaining ring (40), washer (43), spring (42), and washer (41) from barrel assembly (38).

  20. Remove swashplate (44) from motor housing (25).

  21. Remove balls (45) from motor housing (25).

  22. Apply low-pressure air to Port (Y) to remove control piston (46) from motor housing (25).

  23. Place motor housing (25) and final drive housing (48) on to suitable cribbing to avoid damage to the shaft.

  24. Remove plugs (47) and the O-ring seals from final drive housing (48).

  25. Find the split in ring (50) and rotate ring (50) until the break reaches a plug location in cover (49). Proceed to feed ring (50) around until removal is possible.

  26. Remove cover (49).

  27. Remove shaft wear ring (51) from cover (49).

  28. Remove O-ring seal (52) and gear (53) from final drive housing (48).

  29. Remove retaining rings (54) and washers (55).

  30. Remove pins (56) and gears (57).

  31. Remove bearing guides (59), washers (60), and carrier (61) from the final drive housing.

  32. Remove retaining ring (58) and shaft (62) from carrier (61).

  33. Remove thrust washer (64), retaining rings (63), and plate (65).

  37. Use Tooling (B) and a suitable press to compress final drive housing (48).

  38. Use Tooling (C) to remove retaining ring (72).

  39. Use Tooling (D) and a suitable lifting device to remove motor housing (25) from final drive housing (48).

  40. Use Tooling (A) and a suitable press to remove the shaft assembly from motor housing (25).

  43. Remove Duo-Cone seal (76A) from motor housing (25).

  44. Remove Duo-Cone seal (76B) from final drive housing (48).

  45. Remove roller bearings (77).

    Note: Damage to bearings (77) will occur upon removal.
