    Tolerances

  1. Use Tooling (A) and a suitable press to install hub (8) on shaft assembly (7).

  2. Use Tooling (A) and a suitable press to install shaft (7) into housing (6). Install the shaft assembly until the bearing is flush with the housing.

  3. Use Tooling (B) and a suitable press to install seal assembly (5) in housing (6). The operating Height (C) of seal assembly (5) is 12.19 ± 0.13 mm (0.480 ± 0.005 inch).

  4. Use Tooling (A) and a suitable press to install impeller (4) onto shaft assembly (7). The operating height (D) of impeller (4) is 8.97 ± 0.25 mm (0.350 ± 0.010 inch).

  5. Install new gasket (3).

  6. Position cover (2) and install bolts (1).

  7. Position pulley (9) and install bolts (10). The distance (E) from the inside groove of the water pump pulley to the face of the housing should be 136.40 ± 0.300 mm (5.370 ± 0.012 inch).

  8. Refer to Specifications, "Water Pump" for the tolerances.

End By:

  1. Install the water pump.
