Start By:
- Remove the turbocharger.
- Remove the expansion tank (jacket water).
- Remove brackets (1) and studs (2).
- Remove elbow (3). Discard the gasket and the O-ring seals. Use a new gasket and O-ring seals for installation.

Illustration 2 g03060265 - Remove locknuts (4). Remove the washers and spacers. Discard the locknuts and use new locknuts for installation.
- Remove exhaust manifold (5).

Illustration 4 g03060317 - Remove coupling (7) and discard the O-ring seals. Use new O-ring seals for installation.

- Install exhaust manifold (5) in the reverse order of removal.
- Apply Tooling (A) to the bore and O-ring seals for coupling (7).
- Tighten studs (6) to a torque of
35 ± 5 N·m (26 ± 4 lb ft) . - Apply Tooling (B) to locknuts (4).

38 ± 5 N·m (28 ± 4 lb ft) . - Apply Tooling (A) to the bores and O-ring seals for elbow (3).
- Apply Tooling (B) to studs (2) and tighten to a torque of
27 ± 4 N·m (20 ± 3 lb ft) .
