Air Starting Motor - Remove and Install

Usage:

C18 DTP

Removal Procedure

------ WARNING! ------

Ensure that the engine cannot be started while service work is being done. This is very important when the engine is equipped with an Automatic Start/Stop System. On the engines that are equipped with an air starting system, close the air supply valve to the air starting motor before service work is begun.

  1. Remove hose assemblies (3) and (4).

  2. Remove solenoid assembly (5).

  3. Remove bolts (1).

  4. Remove air starting motor (2).

Installation Procedure

  1. Install air starting motor (2) in the reverse order of removal.
