Beberapa generator SR4B disediakan dengan Detektor Temperatur Resistan (RTD, Resistance Temperature Detectors) opsional 100 Ohm. Bila generator dilengkapi dengan Detektor Temperatur Resistan, detektor dipasang di slot armature utama (stator). Detektor digunakan dengan peralatan yang tersedia dari pabrik. Peralatan ini digunakan untuk mengukur temperatur kumparan armatur utama. Peralatan ini juga digunakan untuk memantau temperatur kumparan armatur utama.
