E539 High Intake Manifold Air Temperature
Conditions Which Generate This Code:
The Electronic Control Module (ECM) detects a fault with the intake manifold air temperature. The ECM detects the following faults:
- The engine has been running for more than 3 minutes.
- The trip point for the event code for the intake manifold air temperature is reached.
- Diagnostic code 172-3 Intake Manifold Air Temperature open/short to +batt is not active.
- Diagnostic code 172-4 Intake Manifold Air Temperature short to ground is not active.

System Response:
The warning lamp will be illuminated and the warning horn may sound. If equipped, the diagnostic lamp will flash the event code.
The event code will be logged.
