Air Cleaner - Remove and Install

Removal Procedure

  1. Attach a suitable lifting device onto air cleaner (1). The weight of air cleaner (1) is approximately 159 kg (350 lb).

  2. Disconnect hoses (2).

  3. Remove mud flap (3).

  4. Remove bolts (4) and position brace assemblies (5) out of the way.

  5. Remove air cleaner (1).

  6. Remove clamp (6). Remove cup assembly (7).

  7. Remove seal (8).

  8. Remove shield (9). Remove shield (10). Remove shield (11).

  9. Attach Tooling (A) and a suitable lifting device to body assembly (12). The weight of body assembly (12) is approximately 52 kg (115 lb).

  10. Remove bolts (13). Remove body assembly (12).

  11. Remove primary air filter (14).

  12. Remove retainer (15) from the inside of the primary air filter.

  13. Remove nut (16) from the primary air filter.

  14. Remove cotter (17). Remove nut (18). Remove secondary air filter (19).

Installation Procedure

  1. Install air cleaner (1) in the reverse order of removal.
